meeting in Lambs Cross with An Garda Siochána
The Gardaí are hosting a Public Meeting  WED evening at 8pm on the 23rd of October
at the Lambs Cross Community Centre. The meeting will be addressed by C’Supt Diarmuid O’Sullivan where he will present a review of the six months since the closure of the Stepaside Garda Station. All are welcome.

dlr Fusion - This Weekend!

dlr Fusion takes place on Saturday July 28th and Sunday July 29th 2012 from 11am to 6pm in the beautiful Victorian style People’s Park, Dún Laoghaire. The weekend aims to promote diversity and be a vibrant,fun-filled weekend for all the family.

dlr Fusion will showcase a ‘fusion’ of musicians, local dance groups, ethnic food, colourful lstreet performers, children’s events and aims to create a unique community vibe in Dún Laoghaire. All events and workshops are free!

DLR Library Voices Spring series 2012
Best-selling author Jodi Picoult who will read from her recent novel Lone Wolf on 30th March.
Peter Carey in conversation with Joseph O'Connor on 4th April. Carey, the double Booker prize-winner will be discussing his new novel The Chemistry of Tears.
Paul Durcan appears on 22nd April with his eagerly awaited collection of poetry entitled Praise in Which I Live and Move and Have my Being.
Irvine Welsh will be giving a reading from his new novel Skagboy on 24th April, a prequel to his cult novel Trainspotting.

Summer of Heritage

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council announced its ‘Summer of Heritage’ programme, which will run throughout the summer, from Monday 27th June until Sunday 4th of September.

This is the fourth year of this programme which has attracted thousands of visitors to many of the top heritage sites in the county. This year the programme has again been expanded and comprises a range of events for adults and children alike, all of which are free to the public.
